For those unaware, puppy mills are actually places of horror and sadness rather than heaven on earth. Puppy mills are used to produce purebreds and of course, puppies to be adorable pet gifts. The puppies rarely have enough room to live, are often exposed to the elements, underfed, and almost never leave their cages.
Apparently, the puppy mill in question had been operating in Georgia since the 1980s, and was ridiculously large. Thankfully, with help from the local Marshal’s Office, all dogs and puppies were rescued by these caring individuals. This is the story of all the animals involved, their adoption, and a very special reunion. It also speaks to the need to adopt pets that are more than willing to love and be loved at your neighbourhood shelter.
