Grieving Father Maintains Late Son’s Memorial—with Big Company’s Help
It’s a parent’s worst nightmare: losing their child in a horrible accident. Like any grieving parent, Ray Olsen wanted to preserve his son’s memory any way he could.
In the middle of the night, he would go to an abandoned Chevron property and maintain an elaborate memorial in his son’s honor. It puzzled local residents and even Chevron itself—the company decided to tend to the property but didn’t know who the caretaker was.
So they posted a note.
Olsen came forward, and Chevron teamed up with the local police to put together a more fitting tribute to Olsen’s son.
For once, the big corporation is the good guy here.
