Son Suspended from School for Three Days, but Mom Has a Clever Idea to Punish Him

School suspension is never easy for the parent or the child, but this mom seems to have the right idea for handling her son!

Demetris Payne’s son was recently suspended from school for three days. He might have thought he was in for a three day vacation from his responsibilities, but his mom had a different idea.

She posted on her city’s local buy and sell Facebook group about how her son will be spending his suspension—by doing yardwork.

“He will do your lawn service, he will rake your yard, mow if supplied mower, pick up trash, or wash your car for free,” she wrote.

It ends up being a win-win: her son learns the value of hard work, Shreveport residents get free yard work, and Demetris knows her son is doing something productive with his time when he’s out of school!
