The people at PoliTech decided to go around their home campus in Texas to see just how much their fellow students knew about this country in attempt to see if young Americans are ‘politically challenged’ and if they know even just a little bit about American history.

It’s not sure how fair this is, since it’s not shown how many others got the correct answers. In any case, it’s still pretty embarrassing that so many students didn’t even know some very basic facts from American history. They’re asking about major defining moments and events in the history of this country; not asking about what year Montana became a state or whatever.

You would think that with our love and certainty about this country, more people would at least know some basic facts about it. It’s also a little troubling that so many of them had no problem with pop culture questions and facts about celebrities.
