Moms love their little ones, and they’re fiercely protective of them. No matter if you’re a human or an animal, most mothers understand their special job.
 
Sometimes though, those maternal instincts can transcend species.
 

Gwen Maxwell was behind her home in Phoenix, when she spotted a coyote puppy rolling in pain in the dirty trying to remove cactuses from his face and back.

She called for help and the two men who arrived came with pliers to help the little one.

 

“As (Jose) held him, I was able to pull stickers out of his mouth. He didn’t bite or make a sound.”
