It’s a somewhat unfortunate fact that while the Bald Eagle is an international American symbol of freedom, the majority of them live in Canada and the North. Sometimes they even get caught in traps that aren’t meant for them, as was a recent case north of the border.

Two brothers named Michael and Neil Fletcher and their dog Ben were out near Windy Lake in Ontario, Canada when they discovered a bald eagle trapped in a snare. While Ben is most curious, the brothers have to keep fending him off for the eagle’s sake. But they manage to free the bird and then take the most epic selfie of all time.
