Dad Sends Letter Back to Principal When He Gets a Rude Note About Taking His Kids Out of School

Pulling kids out of school to go on a family vacation is a hot-button issue. Some families argue school is the most important thing and trumps everything else, but other parents see the educational value in the world around them.

Mike Rossi wanted to accomplish his long-standing goal of running the historic Boston Marathon—and he wanted his family there to watch him.

Unfortunately, the school didn’t agree this was appropriate.

Here is the letter the school’s principal sent to Mike and his wife.

Mike doesn’t agree with this zero-tolerance policy and decided to write a letter explaining himself and the trip.

Hopefully the school thinks twice before sending another letter like that!
