Dad’s 2 Dogs Pass Away, Absolutely Loses It When Wife Surprises Him on Birthday

After James lost his 2 canine best friends, Lucy and Nemo, it left a terrible void in his world that his family set out to fill by bringing Lumo into his life!

About to receive a birthday present, James was in a foul mood caused by an upset stomach. Making his displeasure quite audible, his daughter handed him a card and pushed him to open it. Followed by a few more shouts from his wife, he finally obliged. As soon as he saw the picture tied to the card, emotions started bubbling up from a very sad place in his heart.

What he saw was a picture of his new little friend, Lumo. A clever mix between his two previous pets, Lucy and Nemo. As he opened the card and began reading, all the emotions that had built up since the loss of his previous dogs came pouring out like an erupting volcano. His daughter took the card and began reading the words they had written for him.

It read as follows…

“Hi, my name is Lumo.

I am a boy Bichon. No, I am not Nemo, nor can I ever be Lucy. My mommy brought me to bring you some happiness back into your life. So, as we walk in this journey of life together, may we create our own wonderful memories and rekindle the beautiful memories that you had with Nemo and Lucy.

Love, Lumo”

We then hear distant footsteps get closer and closer as James’ wife comes into the shot. After a quick peak up, his tears were only amplified by the sight of Lumo in his beloved’s hands. Before she gave Lumo over to James, she takes on a snarky tone reminding him to “No, don’t make him upset!” He quickly caught himself and straightened up, welcoming his new little furry buddy in his arms for the first time!

He goes on to snuggle him up high near his face, and almost on cue, Lumo comfortably nested himself in James’ hold. They began to bond immediately, repeatedly telling him “Hi, baby boy. You’re my baby boy.” as tears of grief turned into tears of joy and comfort.

Watch the testament to the human-dog bond down below! Warning: may cause a tear or two to appear!
