Doctors Say Son Has Two Kinds of Cancer, Then Mom Gets Diagnosis of Her Own

When a child has a serious illness, it can be incredibly hard on the family. But imagine a mother and child going through their own hardships at once.

For Abraham and Amanda, this is their reality.

In February 2017, Amanda took her son to the doctor, thinking he had a cold. After running some tests, doctors discovered he had two forms of leukemia in his little body.

While that’s hard enough on its own, Amanda herself was diagnosed with breast cancer while caring for her sick son.
