Andrea Ott-Dahl was already a mother of two, but when she realized her friends couldn’t conceive she offered to be their surrogate.
 
That in itself is a wonderful and selfless act, but it didn’t stop there.

When she finally was able to conceive, everyone was ecstatic. During one of the first ultrasounds, the doctors were worried. They did more initial tests and realized the baby had Down Syndrome.

It was an advanced form, and the doctors realized that she would likely be deaf, blind and also have autism.

The parents-to-be were all of a sudden not excited. They told Andrea they wouldn’t take the baby and asked her to get an abortion. But Andrea refused, she felt like this baby was her responsibility.

Baby Delaney was born into a world of doctors and she was a warrior. After a few operations she was able to go home with her family.

Delaney is now a happy and healthy toddler and loves to play with her big brother and sister. The odds stacked against her, she has succeeded and is now a model for a baby brand. Way to go and big applause to this amazing family!
