Doggy Pool Day Is A Splashing Success

Who among us doesn’t love a swim? The sun is shining, you’re outside, and you’re about to cannonball into the pool. This is part of what life is about during the summer. Those of us who don’t have our own private pool in our backyard, opt instead for a public pool on those days when we’re looking for a fun way to beat the heat.

But what about our furry friends who want to beat the heat or learn to swim? It turns out that the Canadian City of Calgary hosts an annual ‘dog day’ at all outdoor pools in the city when the pool season comes to a close. As you can see, it’s quite popular for both the dogs and their owners. What’s also rather heartwarming about this story, is that the money they raise from this ‘doggy paddle’ event goes to the Calgary Humane Society. Seems that things are good for our furry friends in the Great White North.
