Garth Brooks is an immensely popular country singer for reasons I cannot possibly understand or describe. This is because I am not a fan of country music. Like, at all. I paid my dues in college surrounded by pickup driving and country-loving boys and girls. But hey, I’m not going to knock it. It’s just not my kind of music. That doesn’t mean people are wrong to like it, and there is a beauty to this song.

Since this is the internet and people can make a controversial issue out of anything and start a flame war over anything, we are sharing this lovely little lullaby in the hopes that the spirit of the message reaches you. After all, life is terrifying. There’s no other way to describe being born into an unpredictable world screaming and terrified because faceless green men in masks took you away from the only warm and comfortable world you ever knew up until that point. But hey, at least you get a loving mom out of the deal!
