Friends and family are important. Sometimes they don’t even have to be blood relatives to become like family to someone. The same goes for the animals of the world. When he was an infant, Poncho the opossum’s mother was hit by a car. Weak and alone, he didn’t have a high chance of surviving.

The fine folks of the Rare Species Fund made sure that Poncho was cared for, but the little infant still needed a mother. Enter Hantu the white German shepherd. Since Poncho didn’t have a mother and Hantu didn’t have any puppies of her own, the two quickly became inseparable, tot he point where Hantu almost never goes for a walk in the woods without Poncho.
