Most of us have pets or have had pets that we adore, though sometimes the big ones can be a bit of a hassle. A Boxer or St. Bernard that still thinks it’s a puppy that can fit in your lap is cute, but a little daunting and challenging sometimes. Now imagine if your pet is a giant grizzly bear.
Meet Jimbo, a 1500 pound grizzly bear from the Orphaned Wildlife Center in Otisville, New York. Jimbo was born in captivity and essentially had no skills to be successfully reintroduced back into the world. As a result, he’s spent most of his life at the center with his keeper, Jim. Jim is a big strong guy, and Jimbo makes him look tiny. We guess that’s what happens when a bear is 9 and a half feet tall and twice the size of your average man.
