Your Grandparent Can Now Live Close To You In A “Granny Pod” Instead Of A Nursing Home

It can be tough having your grandparent move out of your house. You’re worried you won’t be there for them when they’re in need. Or maybe, they’re too far for you to visit often.

Well now, with the “Granny Pod”, you can have your grandparent live in your backyard with the same amenities you’d find in a nursing home.

These pods come fully equipped with the necessary technology and amenities for old-aged citizens to live comfortably.

The basic Granny Pod, referred to as a MEDCottage, is 12 by 24 feet, has all double French doors to accommodate those who are in wheelchairs. Each unit comes with defibrillators, hand railings, first-aid supplies and lighted floorboards.

The Pod has all of the technology you would find a hospital room including: camera ankle-footage to give them privacy while making sure they haven’t slipped anywhere in the pod, a smart toilet to make sure they’re healthy and even a virtual companion!
