Homeless Teen Adopted by His Football Coach

Sometimes, when you’re down on your luck, all you need is a helping hand from someone you trust and love.

This is Rodrick Jackson. Up until a little while ago, he was homeless, living alone with no one to turn to.

Everything changed for him when early last year, Rodrick told his coach, Adam Fisher, “I have nobody.”

About a month after that conversation with his coach, Adam and his wife Jolene gained court-supervised oversight of Rodrick. He moved into the family’s home and was immediately surrounded by the love he never had from his biological family.

After having Rodrick in their home—even taking him on a family vacation to Hawaii—the family knew they had to make it official.

Rodrick’s addition to their home has been a blessing for everyone involved!
