Monkey see, monkey do.
Children, particularly toddlers, just seem naturally inclined to try new things the moment they are introduced to them. If they see a street performer receiving applause and admiration, chances are they’re gonna want to try and copy them. These moments are precious, but what’s even more precious is when the performer encourages them.
Take the video below, for example. A little girl walking through Galway, Ireland sees a stepdancer in the streets and decides to join in unprompted. To her credit, the dancer smiles at the little girl and encourages her to keep going. For all you know, this dancer could have just inspired a little girl to get into dancing.
Sometimes the littlest moments have the biggest impact on the smallest people.
