Lost Dog Can’t Believe She’s Looking at Her Owner—Then She Smells a Familiar Scent

When you’re separated from an animal for a long time, you never know how they’ll react when they see you again.

Ariel Naveira lost Pakita two years ago when she ran away from home.

He thought he’d never see her again, but then he got a message from his mother after she saw a familiar looking dog in an ad.

Two years before, she had been dropped off at an Argentinian animal shelter, but she’d been passed over for younger, happier dogs. She was always brooding or with her head down, sad and missing her owner.

The shelter finally got a picture of her and Ariel’s mother immediately recognized her.

Soon after, father and pup were reunited, and while she starts out hesitant, she immediately recognizes his scent.
