Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks for things, right? In that case, we’re thankful that Canada exists to bring us such things. As it turns out, Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in early October (must be all that cold weather). It’s also shocking to learn that they (mostly) don’t have Macaroni and Cheese as a side dish. However, they do have poutine.

For those who are not aware, poutine is a godly Canadian culinary creation involving french fries, cheese curds, and copious amounts of delicious gravy. While it may sound (and sometimes look) unappetizing, it’s delicious. If you like cheesy mashed potatoes and gravy for Thanksgiving, then this is right up your alley.

However, the folks at Feast On took this to another level. They made mac and cheese, put it into the fridge and then turned it into mac and cheese fries by deep frying them. Then they used those mac and cheese fries as the base for their version of poutine, and it’s glorious. So get eating and be thankful for all we have, including our polite neighbors to the North. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
