Apparently, it’s not only possible but rather feasible and easy to crochet a giant circular rug. This is what’s called a ‘roving rug’ and roving is a fancy word for wool that has been cleaned and prepped so all the fibers are lined up and ready for knitting. In this case, our host Chandi used 7.5 pounds of gray merino wool roving for this tutorial!

Even if you’re not familiar with crochet, it’s easy to follow along with her single crochets. She goes through it nice and slow to the point that even we can follow along fairly easily! With patience and by paying attention, you will eventually end up with a fantastic rug that will feel like you’re walking on soft clouds.
