Mom Stressed Out After Surgery, Nurse Starts Crying While Trying to Comfort Her

Megan Smith’s mother was given too much anesthesia for her surgery, and as she slowly comes awake a nurse named Olivia stuck by her side, singing to her to comfort her in the all the confusion.

When Margaret Smith went into Vanderbilt University Medical Center for a procedure she didn’t expect to be floored with anesthesia. The extra time it took for the sedative to wear off had Mrs. Smith slightly panicking and the extra stress was not good for her. That’s when nurse Olivia stepped up to the plate!

This nurse sat with my mom for hours while the medicine from too much Anesthesia and sang a very special song to my sweet mother to comfort her. You never left her side by choice!! Words cannot describe the appreciation and love we feel for nurse Olivia who mom calls her angel!

Those were the kind words expressed by Megan, the daughter of Mrs. Smith, about the whole situation and Olivia’s involvement that made her patient’s time in the hospital such a better experience! The problem they faced now was how to get back in touch with the nurse ever since they had left the hospital. As we’ve seen countless times, social media stepped up to the plate to get this through to Olivia!

The video that Megan uploaded to Facebook had such exposure that it managed to make its way back to the nurse who had this to say about the beautiful bedside concert she put on.

Miss Marg has touched my heart in such an indescribable way. I am so humbled and honored to be a Nurse. My thoughts and prayers are forever with this amazing family ??

Your dedication to your patients is beyond any that I have seen, you truly are a beam of light and I cannot thank you enough for the compassion and care and love you shared for my mother. God bless you Olivia!
(I hope you all share this so it can find its way back to nurse Olivia in Vanderbilt )
