Police officers swear to protect the people around them, but what happens when people’s needs aren’t so obvious? A break in, a murder, a car accident are all things you’d expect to deal with as an officer. But what about helpless seniors?
Corporal Warren David is from Sumpter, South Carolina. After 15 years of active police duty, he knew there was more for him.
Now he has started Project Checkmate, an initiative that has police officers check in on 33 seniors in his city.
Known as “Papa G”, his seniors say they couldn’t live without his kindness and for the friendly faces he brings with him.
Do you know any policemen who go above and beyond for their communities?
