Parents Surprised with Son’s Halloween Costume, Internet Can’t Stop Crying

When young boys try to think of what they want to be for Halloween, the often response is either Batman, Superman, or other popular fictional superheroes. Not often do they want to choose costumes that are so close to home.

For imgur user BSribbs, she was taken aback when his son didn’t seem to like any of the costumes. She says “He had a hard time picking out a costume this year.

We walked out of two Halloween stores empty handed, he didn’t wanna be any of the characters.” Eventually, his son finally found a costume for the special evening and is taking the internet by storm.

“Finally, Sunday night, I just told him to pick his FAVORITE HERO and I’d make the costume the next day. His eyes lit up and he yelled “Dad!”

His father works long hours and rarely gets a day off.

“He’s not a lawyer or a doctor <…>. He runs a kitchen in a restaurant and comes home greasy, stinky, and exhausted every night. He works really hard to take care of his family.

But he’s damn proud of his son, and it was obvious when my son rang every doorbell and shouted ‘TRICK OR TREAT – I’M MY DAD!’ to strangers all night that he’s really proud of his dad too.”

The bond between this father and son can be seen from a mile away and once again proves that not all heroes wear capes.

Their loving relationship couldn’t be any more clear and the Internet can’t stop crying.
