It’s amazing how one simple action can set off a chain of events.
A chef by the name of Mark from Metropolitan Ministries in Pasco County, Florida was locking up for the day when he discovered two children huddled in a pile of trash – one about 7 months old and the other 2 years. Around the corner, their mother hid, huddled in a ball.
The church’s pastor recognized the family as frequent guests at their soup kitchen. Out of the goodness of their hearts, the pastor, Ronnie Stewart, and his wife, Krystal Stewart, took the children in for the night to feed, bathe, and change them. They were so dirty that they needed to take two baths!
Soon after, they were approached by the children’s parents and a social worker. The parents pleaded with the pastor to take their children into his home to care for them while they get back on their feet.

Amazingly, not only did the pastor accept, but now he, his wife, and their three children are preparing to adopt the infants permanently.

The family started a GoFundMe page with the goal of raising $10,000 to ease the financial burden of the adoption process. Incredibly, they received over $39,000!
