Pregnant and Paralyzed Dog Rescued at the Last Minute, Gives Birth to Seven Healthy Puppies

Dogs are some of the most loyal animals out there. So when we hear of stories where they’re abandoned, it somehow feels especially vile.

Maria the dachshund was forced to breed dogs by her owners and she even spent a few months paralyzed—most likely from neglect.

Maria’s owners learned the C-section needed to deliver her puppies would cost $3,000 and instead of spending the money, they abandoned her.

Thankfully, the angels at Friends Of Emma, a rescue organization in Texas, found her and saved her life.

Despite all the obstacles in her way, Maria gave birth to seven healthy puppies via C-section—and almost all of them are adopted!

There are so many animal abuse stories with a horrible ending—it’s really inspiring to see these dogs living happily in their forever homes.
