This video was taken along Skykomish Valley Road near Seattle, WA. There had been a ton of rainfall, so the river had overflowed the banks and was flooding fields, roads and houses.
It was unfortunate timing because the local salmon were in the middle of their migration from the ocean into the stream to lay their eggs.
The fish are beholden to wherever the water is flowing from, and the water was flowing the wrong way due to the floods.
They had a creative solution though. Have you ever seen videos of them jumping up waterfalls? This is just as cool.
