Migraines are a pain. Literally. However, so long as you don’t mind a piercing gun, there may be hope of an affordable — and stylish — cure. It’s quite unexpected and not medically verified, but many migraine sufferers have found that their pain decreases after getting a certain kind of ear piercing.

Called a ‘daith piercing, it’s located in the innermost cartilage fold of the ear. Many patients are claiming that it works similar to acupuncture which targets certain pressure points to relieve pain or discomfort. While it hasn’t been studied in-depth, some are suggesting that it’s an affordable option worth looking into since a roughly $100 piercing costs a lot less than a lifetime of migraine meds.
