While it’s safe to say that many in the world love what modern technology has brought us, it also comes with a dark side. So unless your phone is a Nokia, it’s quite probable that your phone was made with the use of child labor. It’s an unfortunate reality that many consumer goods including phones are made by Chinese teenagers working 12 hours a day for $1.80 an hour.

It’s entirely possible that a lot of people simply don’t know about this, and a Swedish company named ‘The Future In Our Hands’ set out to bring awareness to Sweden and the world. They opened FLIP, a mobile phone store that was honest about its unethical production. The entire experiment shows us that we don’t want this kind of unethical production, so we should be more vigilant in the future.
