Caring teachers make the world go ’round.
First grade Teacher ShaRee Castlebury of Lawton, Oklahoma is the living embodiment of that idea.
The teacher wanted something lasting to remember her students by. Her solution? A one-of-a-kind dress designed by her class!
She invited her class to doodle and draw all over the dress, which she then wore on the last day of class. The result is an energetic and vibrant piece of art – which she plans to wear again on the first day of the new school year.
She hopes to keep the tradition going for many years – wearing the each dress on the last day of the school year and the first of the next. She says she plans to wear them at each class’ fifth grade graduation as well. One day, her closet will be full of uniquely designed dresses. What a great idea!
