Teen Films Dad Singing In The Car, Now Millions Are Falling In Love With His Voice

The song “Tennessee Whiskey” has been around for a while. The song was originally released in 1983 by George Jones and has recently been covered by Chris Stapleton. The song is making its way around the internet once again through the even more recent cover by a Texas dad.

Kris Jones’ cover of the country classic is one that was done on the fly. After convincing her father to finally let her record him singing the tune, the recorded footage is now garnering the attention of millions.

One of the millions he got the attention of was the famous talk show host Ellen DeGeneres! Jones and his daughter, Dayla, appeared on “The Ellen Show” where Jones revealed that he’s always wanted to be a singer but life got in the way.

Luckily, it’s never too late, and Jones announced that he has plans to audition for the upcoming season of “The Voice”.
