This Cirrate, or finned octopus, is better known as the Dumbo octopus. It has two fins on the side of its body that look like elephant ears. Its skin is also wrinkled and elephant-like in texture. They live at the very bottom of the sea and feed off of crustaceans, bivalves, worms, and copepods. Their ear-like fins help them swim upwards. When they swim, their arms spread out to form a skirt shape around their body, for that reason they are classified as an umbrella octopus.
