In each of the 468 subway stations in NYC, there’s a black and white striped board that conductors must point at to show they’re paying attention. It’s kind of a strange rule, but they must do it.

When learning about it, Yosef Lerner and his friend Rose Sacktor decided to have some fun with it. Knowing that subway conductors spend their whole day in a small booth with minimal human contact, they decided to show them some love and appreciation for their work by forcing them to point at hilarious signs.
