Normally, the homeless and disadvantaged need to go to homeless shelters and missions in order to get access to clean water, showers, and toilets. Putting a twist on the situation, is the “Lava Mae”, a mobile shower bus that seeks to serve the needs of the many across the wider city of San Francisco.

Founded by Denise Sandovall, this is one of those thoughtful and commendable innovations that seeks to be a transformative part of the lives of the homeless. By providing essential services and basic human rights to those who are in dire need of them, one can’t help but appreciate the efforts of all involved.
