While many brave service members risk their lives daily for their countries, there is a subset of the armed forces that are often overlooked – service animals.
 
Cici was a bomb-sniffing dog for the military. During her service, she became very good friends with Jason Bos. The military advises members not to get attached to their companion animals, but Bos and Cici shared too close a bond to ignore. When Bos finished his tour, he went home, but Cici had to continue her service.
 
Almost two years later, Cici was retired by the military. Due to his connections, Bos was able to pull some strings and adopt Cici permanently. Now the two live together stateside and they couldn’t possibly be happier.
