3rd Grader’s Poem on Femininity Has Everyone Freaking Out
We all like to think back to our younger selves and claim that we were smarter than we actually were. Well this little 3rd grader will be able to go back and realize that at the young age of 8 years old she was already a terrific philosopher. The poem is titled “The True Feminine” and is a wise piece you’d associate with a seasoned thinker!
apparently a 3rd grader wrote this. go off, gen z sylvia plath pic.twitter.com/rJqqiYl5G2

The transcript goes as follows:
“I am not sugar and spice and everything nice.
I am music. I am art. I am a story. I am a church bell, gonging out wrongs and rights and normal nights.
I was baby. I am child. I will be mother.
I don’t mind being considered beautiful, I do not allow that to be my definition.
I am a rich pie strong with knowledge. I will not be eaten.”
Hidden behind the deceptively juvenile crayon written poem lies a strong message for all women around the world. To not let others define you, to not let these preconceived notions define you, but to embrace everything you love and believe in no matter the push back.
We’re also shown that the author has a great grasp on the stages of life and the ones she will experience. Having internalized these concepts we feel the message get brought up to whole other level, most likely based on the quality role models this little girl has in her life.
The debate of ‘fake news’ has been surrounding the post, with the original poster stating that she found the picture and had no way to confirm its existence and its original author. Even with that the message still stands strong and doubters have chosen to suspend their disbelief in order to take in the wisdom offered by this text. These same people have now taken up their new slogan, calling themselves “rich pies” and bringing the whole thing to an almost meme level affair!
me texting all my femme friends: say it. say it with me. say you're a rich pie strong with knowledge.

I am a rich pie, but some days I just feel like a poor pop tart.

The whole thing is topped off with the original poster hoping that the “smol genius” (read smol as small) will find fame, and be recognized for her surprisingly deep, intellectual poem!
glad to see so many people are enthusiastic about being sentient pastries like i am! i hope the smol genius finds fame soon
