CIA K9 Refuses to Sniff Out Bombs, Fired from the Job, and Put Up for Adoption

Many dogs in this day and age actually have demanding jobs that require extensive training.

They too can also be ‘fired’ from the job just like any other working-class citizen.

For Lulu, a black Labrador, there was no other option but to retire her from her trainee position.

She was one of the many promising recruiter dogs that were to be used as bomb-sniffing pups for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) but was ‘let go’ after a loss of interest.

According to the agency, a few weeks later she started showing signs that she was no longer interested in “detecting explosive odors”.

Puppies have millions of reasons why they may not want to do it and sometimes it’s just as easy as extra playtime or a little break.

When the agency saw that there was no progress made towards her interest in the job, they decided to retire her.

For some dogs, it might just not be the right job they were meant for.

Fortunately for Lulu, her handler decided to adopt her and she now lives with her new family and another black lab named Harry.

These days, Lulu spends her time playing with her handler’s children and the only thing she sniffs out now are rabbit and squirrels in the backyard.
