Cop Pulls Over Driver, Thinks It’s His Dead Son. Ends in Tears and Well-Needed Hug

In fear of the unknown, sending another off to the military might just be the most frightening experience for any parent. For this one father, he was able to rekindle the love he had for his son with a total stranger.

As William Jazwinski was driving out one morning, he was surprised to see a set of flashing police lights flashing in his rear-view mirror.

The police officer proceeded to walk up to the car and William was wondering if he was driving too fast.

It turns out he wasn’t and that the officer only wanted to thank the man for his military service. Jazwinski recalled the military bumper sticker he had adhered to the back of his truck and explained he had been in stationed in Iraq for 15 months.

The officer told him that he reminded him of his son and that his son also served in Iraq but didn’t make it back.

He noticed an American flag placed on his dashboard and he mentioned that it looked just like the flag he received when he was informed of his son’s death.

That’s when he got emotional and asked an unusual question.

He asked if he could receive a hug.

One of which that lasted over a couple minutes with many tears rolling down the side of his cheeks.

William had just been through PTSD (post-traumatic stress syndrome) rehabilitation where the hug meant more than just the physical contact. William shared the story on his Facebook and have been receiving comments of others thanking him for his service.

Check out his interaction with the cop!

Me- Goodmorning officer. Was i speeding?

Officer- Goodmorning, no not speeding. Just wanted to stop ya and say…
