Freddie Mercury Sings a Beautiful Duet with Opera Singer to the Song “How Can I Go On”
Queen singer Freddie Mercury was a fan of the opera. His love of the musical genre echoed in many of his popular rock hits.
While working on his second album Barcelona, Mercury got to realize his life-long dream of performing opera alongside Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé. The album Barcelona contained elements of both popular music and opera.
The song “How Can I Go On” was included on the album and in the video below you can see Mercury and Caballé’s beautiful duet performance together:
