Man Drives Home to Pick Up Diesel Can, Almost Runs into 15 Year Old Girl Escaping Kidnappers

Most people get frustrated when they have to go back home for something they forgot, but as this encounter proves, everything happens for a reason.

Earl Melchert had to turn around to pick up a diesel can he forgot when he left for work that morning. While driving down the road, he thought he saw a deer running towards him.

He was very wrong.

Turns out, the “deer” was 15 year-old Jasmine Block, a terrified kidnapping victim Earl recognized immediately—he’d seen her face all over the news and on flyers around town.

She’d been missing for over a month.

When her captors went out to a convenience store, she saw her chance and escaped.
